1st Meeting with Product Manufacturer

This video was recording after my first meeting with manufacturer #1. I found this manufacturer through a simple Google search and a little research. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the front desk clerk and then the Lead Engineer promptly came out and introduced himself. We stepped into his office and immediately got down to business.

After exchanging some pleasantries, we spoke generally about my product and his company. He was interested in what stage of development I was in and what exactly I was looking for them to do for me. I explained that I already have a Proof of Concept (POC) and he recommended that we could start with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) which is more of a working prototype.

He was impressed with the fact that I already had a POC and that the product was already patent pending. He mentioned that many inventors come to them with literally sketches on napkins - which they have no problem bringing that to reality. When he started transitioning to ask me specific questions about my product, I informed him that I would need an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) signed first. As should be the case with any reputable manufacturer, he not only had zero objection with completing an NDA but he immediately excused himself from the room in order to grab the form and have it executed.

Now that the NDA was complete, we spoke specifically about the product. I gave him a short demonstration of how it works along with specs to include weight, length and possible material used. Our next steps would include him bringing the information to the design team in order for them to provide me with a cost overview and a timeline.

We scheduled a call the following week in order to review that information.
